No snow at senior center

By Stephanie Watson

It is almost the end of February, and still no snow. I’m so sad about that! I need a deep fluffy snow to go sledding. It is just not winter without snow. Did you know snow is a mineral, just like diamonds and salt? Most snowflakes don’t look like the lacy decorations that kids cut from folded paper. Flakes are generally bunches of those perfectly symmetrical crystals stuck together. Freshly fallen snow is typically 90 to 95 percent air, which is what makes it such a good thermal insulator.

Enough about snow! It is time to start thinking about spring. Tax Day is just around the corner. March 2, AARP will be here to complete tax returns; make sure you are on the list if you want yours done. I think we should host bring your favorite chicken to the center day! I have one do you? Still reading? Good!

We have new shopping trips and excursions planned for the month of March, check out our signup sheets or call for a place on the bus. We will be adding more weekly.
