Be a part of the diverse community at Osage County Senior Center

By Stephanie Watson

Community. It means a group of people that live in a common place, or have common ideals, attitudes, interest or goals. Community is a vital part of society. A great example of this is how the Osage City community gathered around the boys high school basketball team and cheered them on to a state championship (congratulations, boys!)

There are many different communities residing right under our noses. And the diversity of these communities is astounding. We have the business community, farm community, student community, senior community, dominoes community, classic car community, BBQ community, and on and on. And these local communities belong to a much larger community of people with the same interests.

Here at the center, while the senior community is our main focus, it is not the only community that has access to the facilities. The center’s community is all residents of Osage County and their friends and family. We are open to all people and all communities. We invite you to come join a community, bring your community, start a new community or just come and have fun. We have lots of fun activities happening this week.
