Get a sample of Kansas at annual festival

By Dave Azwell

The Osage City Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an Osage City booth at the Kansas Sampler Festival, which will be at Winfield this year, May 7-8.

The Osage City booth will be in the Northeast Kansas tent at the festival, which will be staged at Island Park, 200 N. Main St., Winfield.

The Kansas Sampler Festival offers a sample of what there is to see, do, hear, taste, buy and learn in Kansas. It’s an annual travel festival that is held in a different Kansas community every two years. A project of the Kansas Sampler Foundation, the Inman-based foundation’s mission is to preserve and sustain rural culture. The KSF is an awesome event that every Kansan should attend. It’s the 27th year for the festival and is the next to last year that it will be held. Next year’s festival in 2017 will be the last one, and will be held in Winfield, also. If you haven’t gone, yet, now’s the time!

Winfield is located south of Wichita down I-35 and east on Hwy 160 or south down Hwy 77 from El Dorado to Winfield.

Satellite parking, ticket booth, camping and shuttle service are available at the Winfield Fairgrounds, 1105 W.
