Do you have a quilt that means something special to you? The Burlingame Community Library is offering quilt owners and makers an opportunity to share the stories of their quilts at a special show as part of Burlingame’s upcoming Rodeo Days.

The “Quilts That Tell a Story” show at the library will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 21. Quilts can be dropped off at the library 1-6 p.m. Friday, May 20.

The “Quilts That Tell a Story” show will also feature longtime quilter Delores Rieck. Rieck’s quilting career began under a shade tree while waiting on her husband and a hog. Fifty-one years and more than 900 quilts later Rieck is still stitching, and will share stories and equip others to stitch during her presentation at Great Plains Quilt Company, 119 W. Santa Fe Ave., Burlingame, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21.

For more information about the show, contact the library at 785-654-3400 or [email protected], or stop in at 122 W. Santa Fe Ave., Burlingame.
