James ‘Jay’ Petrechko, 60, Lebo: May 7, 1956 – May 15, 2016

LEBO, Kan. – James “Jay” Petrechko, 60, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kan. He was born on May 7, 1956, in Sugar Creek, Mo., the son of Edmund and Betty Onka Petrechko.

Jay has lived in Lebo for several years. He had attended the University of Missouri, at Rolla, Mo., worked for AT&T as a long distance operator for 15 years, and was a shipping desk clerk for Wal-Mart Distribution, Ottawa, Kan. for the last 15 years.

On March 19, 1993 Jay was married to Yvonne Grimes, in Kansas City, Mo.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, Edmund.

Jay is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of the home; four daughters, Amy Aldrich, Bonner Springs, Kan., Dani Myrick, Lebo, Emily Oliver, Blue Springs, Mo., and Katy Anderson, Independence, Mo.; his mother, Betty, Richmond, Mo.; a brother, Stephen Petrechko, Richmond, Mo.; a sister, Gina Essig, Richmond, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

Private family funeral services will be held. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, east of Melvern.
