Ronald D. Prost, 66, Carbondale: July 21, 1946 – May 17, 2013

Carbondale – Ronald Dean Prost, 66, of Carbondale, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook.

He was born on July 21, 1946, in Osage City, the son of Frank and Alvera (Woolery) Prost.

He graduated from Osage City High School. He married Norma Lois Bartee on June 21, 1969, in Osage City.

He had worked as a sheet metal worker for McElroy’s and Young’s heating and air conditioning companies. He belonged to the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local Union No. 2.

He really loved coaching and watching softball. He also enjoyed and looked forward to playing poker with friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Shelley Prost, Carbondale; two sons, Christopher Prost and his wife, Chakrya, Carbondale, and Daniel Prost, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Frank Prost Jr., Carbondale, and Kenneth Prost, Lawrence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, and a brother, Wayne Prost.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 25, at Carbondale Church of Christian Fellowship, 430 Commercial St., Carbondale
