Severe thunderstorms confirm it’s springtime

In a sign that spring is finally here, storms that dropped tornadoes and large hail across Oklahoma and Kansas  blew through Osage County Sunday, leaving about a half inch of rain along with hailstones in some areas. The National Weather Service is predicting more rain Monday afternoon and the possibility of spring thunderstorms later in the week, Thursday through Sunday. This photo, taken north of Williamsburg Sunday evening, shows menacing clouds just before the storm hit that area. Photo thanks to Kendra Harnden.
