Silver Alert issued for Nebraska man

HARPER COUNTY, Kan. – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult in Harper County, Kan. The Harper County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for Rex E. Roth, 56, whose last known location was Chadron, Neb. His truck was found unoccupied Tuesday night in Attica, Kan., where he has family ties.

Roth is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 205 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a yellow T-shirt with “Dawes County” on it. His last known location was at Chadron, Neb., at 7:30 a.m. June 21, 2016. His silver 2002 Chevy flatbed pickup with a Nebraska commercial tag, number 692546, was found in Attica around 11 p.m. Tuesday. His debit card was used in Russell, Kan., at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Roth has a past medical history of a traumatic brain injury, and has had episodes in the past when he was able to function but was unaware of his actions.
