Fireworks shows set to blast off across Osage County

Update, July 2, 2016: Osage County Fair fireworks show scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. Pomona State Park fireworks show scheduled for July 2 has been cancelled due to forecast of heavy rain.

The sky above Osage County is about to explode with bright colors, blinding flashes and thundering booms, with fireworks shows planned for every night of the Fourth of July holiday across the area. Here are shows we’ve confirmed; all shows begin after dusk or at approximate times listed.

Friday, July 1

  • Osage County Fire District No. 5’s fifth annual fireworks show at the Lyndon Saddle Club arena north of Lyndon.

Saturday, July 2

  • Cancelled: Osage County Fair, Osage City; annual fair fireworks show at Osage City’s Jones Park, 10:30 p.m.
  • Burlingame fireworks show at the Burlingame ball diamonds (rain date Sunday, July 3).
  • Cancelled: Pomona State Park fireworks show, near the Kansa Campground.

Sunday, July 3

  • Grace Community Church, Overbrook, annual community supper and fireworks show.
  • Lamont Hill Restaurant, public fireworks show at the Lamont Hill driving range.

Monday, July 4

  • Overbrook’s annual Fourth of July celebration, fireworks at dark; food and music prior to show at the city park pavilion.
