County’s public transportation service offers rides for all citizens

Osage County General Public Transportation offers rides to any resident of Osage County.  The requested donation per ride is $3 in county and $5 out of county, however no one is refused service for lack of payment.  We have standard fixed routes, which stops at popular retail, educational, and service locations throughout the county. In addition, anyone can call to schedule a trip or ride to almost anywhere or any place. For more information, call the Osage County Senior Center at 785-528-4906, or stop by at 604 Market St., Osage City.

Join us for scheduled trips on: Wednesday, July 6, to Topeka movie matinee, leaving the center at 12:30 p.m.; Thursday, July 7, to Emporia for shopping, leaving the center at 9 a.m.; Friday, July 8, call for a ride to come play bingo; Monday, July 11, to Lawrence for shopping at antique store and thrift shop, leaving the center at 9 a.m.; Tuesday, July 12, to Council Grove antique stores and lunch, leaving the center at 9 a.m.

  • Thursday, June 30: Art and painting 9 a.m.; crafting with Ella 10 a.m.
  • Friday, July 1: Balloon volleyball 9 a.m.; bingo 10 a.m.; yoga 11 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Monday, July 4: Center closed for Fourth of July holiday.
  • Tuesday, July 5: Ceramics 9 a.m.; Mexican Train games 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 6: Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 10:30 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.; chair massage 10 a.m.
  • Thursday, July 7: Art and painting 9 a.m.; crafting with Ella 10 a.m.
  • Friday July 8: Balloon volleyball 9 a.m.; bingo 10 a.m.; yoga 11 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
