Senior center open for grandkids, too

Summer is here! We’ve already had a heat wave that was typical of late August. Often, summer brings guests. The traditional time for vacations in the U.S is usually summer time when children are out of school. It is also a tradition for mom and dad to send the kids to visit Gramma and Grandpa for a few days. I know many people who reminisce about visiting their grandparents and it is one of their cherished childhood memories.

So here is the deal! If you have grandchildren visiting for a few days and run out of fun things to do, bring them to the Osage County Senior Center. We have some arts and crafts they can do with your supervision and who knows, they might win the bingo jackpot. We would love to have some young visitors and hopefully their visit to the center might be included in one of their cherished childhood memories. So please bring them in with you; they are very welcome!

Come ride with us on July 12 to Council Grove antique stores and lunch; leaving the center at 9 a.m. Don’t forget to come in out of the heat and enjoy activities at the senior center. For more information, stop by the center at 604 Market St., Osage City, or call 785-528-4906.
