Two found dead in Carbondale home

CARBONDALE, Kan. – A man and woman were found dead in a Carbondale home Friday afternoon, but no foul play is suspected, according to a report from the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.

In a press release issued Friday night, the sheriff said that at 2:50 p.m. July 29, 2016, the sheriff’s office received a 911 call of a possible deceased person at 636 W. North St., Carbondale. When law enforcement personnel arrived they found two people dead in the residence.

According to the release, “The victims a male and female in their 50’s were working in the home.”

The report said the house was unoccupied and the victims were not the homeowners. Names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family.

The sheriff said no foul play is suspected but autopsies are scheduled.

The Carbondale Police Department, Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Highway Patrol and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
