Fun happens daily at senior center

While our abilities, even our faculties, may diminish with age, our need to enjoy the best of what it means to be human still remains. That’s why activities and fellowship is so crucial to a healthy lifestyle. Are you tired of watching TV, listening to all of the doom and gloom? Join in for a fun filled day of art, exercise and social activities at the Osage County Senior Center. Stop in at 604 Market St., Osage City to pick up a monthly calendar of events.

Every third Friday (August 19 this month) Home Town Health Care is here to trim toe nails (fee charged); call 620-342-2600 to set up an appointment at the center. Massage therapist Katie Beauclair is available on Tuesdays, also for a fee.

Plan to have lunch at the senior center nutrition site, which offers a noon meal for the suggested donation of $3 for seniors and $6 for everyone else. Reserve a meal 24 hours in advance by calling the nutrition site at 785-528-4170.

For information about the senior center, call 785-528-4906, or stop by at 604 Market St., Osage City.
