County attorney recognized for advancing wildlife enforcement efforts

The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism Law Enforcement Division has recognized Osage County Attorney Brandon Jones as an individual who has advanced the agency’s mission.

Jones was presented with the 2016 Recognition of Service Award on Aug. 12. The award is presented each year to an individual in recognition of service and accomplishments advancing the conservation of the state’s natural resources and the mission of KDWPT’s Law Enforcement Division.

Jones was presented the award because of his cooperation with the agency and the successful prosecution of fish and game violations in Osage and Anderson counties, and continued support of the agency through purchase of needed equipment and supporting night flights to prevent poaching.
