Summer’s gone, fall is here; Lyndon drums up a day of family fun

lyndonfallfest350x166_2016Adjusting to the rhythm of the seasons, the Lyndon community is drumming up another good time to celebrate the coming of fall. Highlighting Lyndon’s Fall Fest 2016, this Saturday, Oct. 1, will be the Cruzline drum line, which will set the tempo for the day’s family fun activities.

The Cruzline will perform at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., with all activities taking place in downtown Lyndon and on the lawn of the Osage County Courthouse.

The day of fun begins at 9 a.m. with the opening of the craft and vendor fair. Soon after, the bounce house obstacle course will be inflated and ready for action, along with games for all ages to test their skills and luck and win prizes. In addition, kids will be able to check out the fire trucks and equipment, and man the fire hose in a fire fighting demonstration. Other crowd favorites include a dance performance by the Dance Spot, coins in the corn, and pumpkin bowling. Also, Lyndon students will have autumn-inspired artwork on display.

The day’s activities are hosted by Lyndon Pride, and proceeds benefit the organization’s community projects.
