OCFD No. 2 opens fire station to guests for fun and safety

Kids were able to live their dreams of being firefighters during OCFD No. 2’s open house on Oct. 16.

Osage County Fire District No. 2 held its annual open house Sunday as a finale of Fire Prevention Week. The fire department served up fun and a cookout for the community with firefighting equipment and the fire station at Osage City on display. Firefighters and local emergency responders greeted guests, held a drawing for safety items, and provided information about staying safe during a fire or other emergency. Also on display was a helicopter ambulance from Lifeteam Critical Care Transport.
