Andrew Neil Stout, 57, Garnett: Sept. 16, 1959 – Oct. 29, 2016

GARNETT, Kan. – Andrew Neil Stout, 57, of Garnett, Kan., passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa, Kan. He was born Sept. 16, 1959, in Lawrence, Kan., the son of Charles and Corrine (Keithly) Stout.

He grew up and attended schools in Baldwin City, Kan. Andrew worked as a chef for numerous restaurants. He also worked construction for many years.

Andrew was a member of Hope Anthem Church, Ottawa. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially cooking out. He also enjoyed riding dirt bikes and quads. He loved the outdoors, fishing and traveling, and most recently, he enjoyed coloring.

He married Karon Anderson on Oct. 9, 1983. They later divorced.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Stout, and a son, Andrew Stout.

Surviving family includes three daughters, Amberly K. Scott, Ottawa, and Elsie and Adalyn Stout, of Kincaid, Kan.; three sons, Jackson Anderson, Galveston, Texas, and Joseph and Avery Stout, Kincaid; his mother, Corrine Stout, Baldwin City; five brothers, his twin, Dale Stout and wife, Candy, Baldwin City, Kenneth Stout, Garnett, Charles Stout, Baldwin City, Wayne Stout and wife, Linda, of Richmond, Kan., and Daryl Stout and wife, Margetta, of Lawrence; four sisters, Joyce Chillen and husband, Ron, of Lincoln, Neb., Beverly Stout, Osage City, Kan., and Kay Tressler and Connie Stout, both of Baldwin City; and three grandchildren, Jenna Scott, Aaron and Unique Sherman.

To celebrate Andrew’s life, a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Hope Anthem Church, 520 E. 13th St., Ottawa.
