Lyndon Legion schedules soup feed, flag retirement for day after Veterans Day

LYNDON, Kan. – American Legion Post 125, Lyndon, has planned two events to observe Veterans Day, with both on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016.

The first event is dependent on weather. The new Legion riders will have a small ride, with more details to come. At 5 p.m. that day will be a fundraiser soup feed at the Lyndon Community Center. During the soup feed,  the post’s Boy’s State participant, Tristen Pringle, will give a speech. Donations will be accepted at the door for the post’s projects.

After the dinner, post members will retire flags that have been collected in the flag drop box dedicated by Sons of the American Legion Post 125.
