Marjorie Irene Williams, 91, Baldwin City: Aug. 30, 1925 – Nov. 17, 2016

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Marjorie Irene Williams, 91, passed away in her sleep on Nov. 17, 2016, in Baldwin City, Kan. She was born Aug. 30, 1925, in rural Melvern, Kan., the daughter of Roy Sutton and Jessie (Shupe) Sutton.

Marjorie was a loving housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fort Morgan, Colo.

On Nov. 25, 1943, Marjorie was united in marriage to Kenneth LaVerne Williams. They shared 72 years of loving marriage until Kenneth passed away Nov. 20, 2015. 

Marjorie is survived by her son Phillip Williams and his wife, Teresa, of Baldwin City; daughter Janet Black and her husband, Jim, of Centennial, Colo.; and eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial for Marjorie and her husband, Kenneth, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City. Inurnment will occur at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Morgan.
