Lyndon horticulture student serves on landscape association advisory committee
Madison Culley was selected to serve on the student advisory committee for the Western Nursery and Landscape Association conference in Kansas City, Jan. 19-20, 2017.
The WNLA is a trade association for horticulture professionals in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Ten top horticulture students in the Midwest were invited to join this committee by professors and sponsors. They are in charge of developing new ideas and recommendations on educational programming, networking opportunities and other member benefits. Along with attending educational talks and networking with companies in attendance, the advisory committee ends their stay by meeting with the board of directors to discuss and present ideas for next year’s conference.
Culley, a 2014 graduate of Lyndon High School, will also serve on the committee for the 2018 WNLA conference next year.
