R. Steven “Steve” White, 67, Osage City: Jan. 15, 1950 – March 27, 2017

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – R. Steven “Steve” White, 67, of Osage City, Kan., passed away in his sleep on March 27, 2017. Steve was born on Jan. 15, 1950, to Howard M. and Marcia M. White, in Ulysses, Kan.

After attending Washburn University, Steve made his home in Osage City, founding businesses including Osage Realty. In addition to his real estate business, Steve was a farmer, card player, hunter, skeet shooter, golfer, and an avid Jayhawks fan. He was a boisterous storyteller, a dynamic person, a great father and friend.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann White and her husband Elliott Nickell, and business associates and countless friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., March 31, the Osage City First United Methodist Church, 219 S. Sixth St., Osage City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Washburn University and sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel at 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
