OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Betty Pressgrove, 92, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Peterson Nursing Home, Osage City, Kan. She was born on June 11, 1925, in Barclay, Kan., the only daughter of Louis and Gladys Walker Thompson.
Betty grew up around Osage City, had lived north of Lyndon for several years, and had been back in Osage City since 2012.
Betty had worked for a short time at Hallmark Cards, in Osage City, and had been a homemaker most all of her life. She had attended the Osage City United Methodist Church.
On Jan. 19, 1946, Betty was married to Dale Pressgrove, in Topeka, Kan.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, on May 11, 1996; a son, Kenny Pressgrove; and three brothers, Clint Thompson, Jim Thompson, and Tom Thompson.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Paul Pressgrove, of Topeka, and Tom Pressgrove, of Oklahoma; daughter, Doris Zipperer, of California; a brother, Howard Thompson, Osage City; and many grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon, Kan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the chapel.
