Ciara Howard, 26, Olathe: June 9, 1991 – Aug. 23, 2017

OLATHE, Kan. – Ciara Howard, 26, of Olathe, Kan., formerly of Ottawa, Kan., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, in Olathe, Kan. She was born June 9, 1991, in Ottawa, the daughter of Howard Gunn and Kathy (Daugharthy) Arnold.

Ciara grew up in the Ottawa area, eventually moving to Gardner, Kan. and then recently to Olathe. She attended Gardener-Edgerton High School with the class of 2009. Ciara was recently a cashier at the 7-Eleven in Olathe, but her favorite job was working at Jimmy Johns. Ciara attended church at Williamsburg Methodist Church, Williamsburg, Kan. She was a very happy person to be around. In her youth she was a good athlete and a very accomplished pianist. She also was very good choreographer for her high school dance team. She also played the flute and saxophone. Music was a very crucial part of her life. She was always at ease playing music.

Ciara is survived by her mother, Kathy Arnold, Gardner; a daughter, Khaleesi Morse, Gardner; and six siblings, Clay Gish, Wichita, Kan., Laken Beaty, Lyndon, Kan., Colton Fall, Arkansas, Shiann Fall, Chicago, Ill., Christian Arnold, Gardner, and Aireann Arnold, Gardner.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dylan Reed and Kordero Dartanian.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, Williamsburg. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
