National Guard band to perform in Osage City

The Osage City Area Arts Council will present the Kansas Army National Guard/35th Infantry Division Band in concert at 7:30 p.m. July 2, in the Osage City high school auditorium.

The Band of the Kansas National Guard has performed extensively throughout the Midwestern United States and traveled as musical ambassadors for the Department of State on three international tours. It has played several concerts over the years in Osage City.

The band, headquartered in Olathe, is composed of 60 citizen-soldier musicians from Kansas and Missouri. Each year the band performs for over 50,000 people as a marching or concert band, as well as jazz, rock, vocal or classical ensembles.

Admission to the concert is free to the public, and OCAAC is inviting everyone to attend this pre-July Fourth concert.
