SOS to lead domestic violence summit Oct. 5

SOS has announced Jeffrey S. Bucholtz, director of We End Violence, as the presenter for the 15th Annual Domestic Violence Summit on Oct. 5, 2017, at Flint Hills Technical College, Emporia, Kan.

Bucholtz is an award-winning instructor at Southwestern College, where he teaches communications. Bucholtz is also a public speaking consultant with Speak for Success and teaches courses on Violence Against Women and Popular Culture and Identity at San Diego State University.

As part of his “Domestic Violence for Professionals” presentation, Bucholtz will discuss realistic strategies for preventing relationship violence, and how to make life easier by changing culture to help survivors of sexual or dating violence.

The 2017 Domestic Violence Summit will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5. Registration is $40 per person and includes lunch and refreshments. Register online at www.soskansas.com/2017-domestic-violence-summit/ or call 620-343-8799. Registration will close Oct. 1.
