Girl Scouts get gross, invite new friends to join

EMPORIA-Girl Scouts are inviting girls to try ooey, gooey experiments, dissect brains, and play sloshy games while learning about the gross things in life. Looking for the unforgettable experience? This is just for you and designed to engage curiosity, promote creativity, and enhance scientific knowledge – as well as be fun.

The Exploration Place Science and Discovery Center is heading to Emporia to bring an exclusive event to Girl Scouts. Girls can choose from two options: Gross Day Camp, girl cost $150, daily 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 23 through July 26, option to drop off 7:30 a.m. and pick up 5:30 p.m., for grades second through fifth; or Gross Camp Overnight, girl cost $40, adult cost $40, overnight, 7 p.m. July 25 to noon July 26, for grades kindergarten through 12th.

Not currently a Girl Scout? Not a problem, this is open to all girls. Adults do not need to accompany their daughters to check out all that Girl Scouting has to offer. Register by July 9 to be part of the festivities.
