Community members are invited to Overbrook Attendance Center for an open house at 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, to see students in the Kansas Reading Roadmap “Lights on Afterschool” program.

The event is one of more than an expected 8,000 Lights on Afterschool events across America, an annual nationwide celebration of afterschool programs organized by the Afterschool Alliance.

Kansas Reading Roadmap ensures that thousands of Kansas children receive an opportunity to learn to read through a pathway designed to fit their individual needs.  Visitors will see how Kansas Reading Roadmap and afterschool programs nationwide inspire children to learn, keep them safe, and provide relief to working families.

Overbrook Attendance Center is at 202 W. Seventh St., Overbrook, Kan.
