Kansas Republican Party chairman featured speaker at local Republicans’ meeting

Osage County Republicans are invited to attend a meeting of Republicans to be held Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at the Osage County Senior Center, 604 Market St., Osage City, Kan. The event begins with a potluck supper. Drinks and table service will be provided. Bring a dish to share and join in the meal which will start serving at 5:30 p.m. and run through the supper hour.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. with featured speaker, Kelly Arnold, chairman of the Kansas Republican Party.  He will be giving an overview of the National Republican Party and Kansas Republican Party going into the 2018 Election. Arnold will also comment on his own campaign for secretary of state.

Arnold is a lifelong Kansan, born and raised in McPherson. After graduating from McPherson High School, Kelly earned degrees in business management and finance from Tabor College.

Arnold has spent his career in the finance industry and public service. First elected Sedgwick County Clerk in 2008, Kelly is serving his third term. While serving as clerk, he earned the designation of certified master county clerk from Wichita State University Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs.

Arnold serves on the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, the Board of Directors at Hillsboro State Bank, and is a 16-year member of Sons of the American Legion Post #366, Hillsboro.

In conjunction with the supper and meeting is a silent auction to raise funds for the central committee.  Anyone with items to donate to the auction should contact Dana Webber at 785-806-5388 cell or text.

The Osage County Republicans meet quarterly throughout the year. All Republicans are encouraged to attend.
