MELVERN, Kan. – Deloris Jean Heilmann, 89, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Presbyterian Manor, Topeka, Kan. She was born on June 9, 1928, on a farm near Olivet, Kan., the daughter of Clifford and Elizabeth Fisher Elder.

Deloris attended grade school at Valley, 1/4 mile from her home, and graduated from Melvern High School. She was a homemaker, and was one of the founding members of the Jobs Daughters Organization in Melvern, and a member of Eastern Star, the Melvern United Methodist Church, and Melvern United Methodist Women.

On Sept. 14, 1946, Deloris married Loren Heilmann, in Melvern.

Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Loren, on Oct. 23, 2003; her parents, Cliff and Elizabeth; and her two brothers, Marshall Elder and Kenneth Elder.

Deloris is survived by her daughter, Pamela Cranwell and husband, Wayne, Lyndon; son, Mark Heilmann and wife, Deanna, Topeka; five grandchildren, Mandi Adams and husband Shane, Brandon Heilmann, Tara Habiger and husband, Dennis, Amie May and husband, Daryl, Shelley Porter and husband, Travis; and six great grandchildren, Carlynn Habiger, Brinlynn Habiger, Hudson Habiger, Meredith Adams, Grayson Porter and Tristan Porter.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the Melvern United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Melvern Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:30 a.m. Monday until service time.
