Osage City Parks and Recreation is getting ready for the holidays with a Christmas arts and crafts workshop. Participants can create creating wrapping paper, ornaments, holiday décor, holiday cards. Also youth basketball is gearing up for youngsters. See signup deadlines below.
Christmas Arts & Crafts Workshop
Instructor, Becky Weaver (USD 348 Baldwin High School art instructor)
- Pre-K-2nd grade (Dec. 9, 9:30-10:30 a.m.)
- 3rd-8th Grade (Dec. 9, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.)
- Location, Osage City Community Building
- Cost, $15 per student
- Projects may include creating wrapping paper, ornaments, holiday décor, holiday cards
- Signup deadline, Dec. 4
- All projects will be available to take home. Reminder, art can be messy, please dress accordingly.

Youth Basketball (1st & 2nd grade, coed)
- Team practice – Jan. 8 and 15
- Boys practice, 6-7 p.m. or 7-8 p.m. (if needed), Single grade team practices (half court)
- Girls practice, all 1st/2nd girls practice as one group
- Game information (both boys & girls)
- Jan. 22-Feb. 19
- Team – group practice, first 30 minutes
- Game, second 30 minutes
- Each game is two 15-minute halves
- Players receive a team shirt and participation award
- Cost is $20 per player
