LYNDON, Kan. – Sandra Thurman, 79, passed away on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at her home in Lyndon, Kan. She was born on May 15, 1938, in Verona, Mo., the daughter of Oren and Irene Ohlhausen Mann.
Sandra had lived at Pomona Lake and Perry, Kan., and had lived in Lyndon for the last 15 years. She had been a homemaker and was a member of the Overbrook Bible Church. On May 11, 1956, Sandra was married to James Thurman in Aurora, Mo.
Sandra was preceded in death by her son, Mark Thurman, her parents, Oren and Cora, and by five brothers, Paul, Don, Eugene, Jay and Louis Mann.
Sandra is survived by her husband, James, of the home; son, Steven (Christine) Thurman of Edgar Springs, Mo.; daughter, Sharon (Kevin) Culley, Lyndon; daughter-in-law, Lisa Thurman, Mayetta, Kan.; two sisters, Barbara Berry, Galena, Kan., and Shirley Olsen of Everett, Wash.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 17, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Burial was in the Vassar Cemetery.
