Boil water advisory rescinded for city of Overbrook

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a boil water advisory for the city of Overbrook, Kan. The advisory was issued because of line breaks that began Jan. 25, 2018, resulted in a loss of pressure in the system.

Laboratory testing samples collected from the city indicate no evidence of contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.

Repairs to the system were completed Friday evening, but sample results were not available until Sunday.
