Statewide Silver Alert issued for Lenexa woman

Update: The statewide Silver Alert for Georgia Miner has been canceled, after she was located deceased Thursday, in Topeka, Kan.

The Topeka Police Department will be handling the death investigation, so further inquiries should be directed to them.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. – The Lenexa Police Department has requested a statewide Silver Alert, to attempt to learn the whereabouts of Georgia R. Miner, 75. Miner suffers from dementia and has not had contact with family since March 2, 2018.

According to the Lenexa Police Department, Miner is a white female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 135 pounds, with blonde, medium length hair and blue eyes. She drives a silver 2007 Hyundai Sonata with Kansas tag number 406-AZQ.

According to family, Miner has exhibited signs of dementia and has gotten lost while driving errands in the recent past. She also takes medication and it is unknown if she has it in her possession.
