Dennis Dale Combes, 66, Osage City: Sept. 18, 1951 – June 30, 2018

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Dennis Dale Combes, 66, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kan. He was born Sept. 18, 1951, in Burlington, Kan., the son of Walter Clinton and Ethel Lorene (Norris) Combes.

Dennis graduated from Reading High School in 1969. He served with Army Reserves after high school. Dennis was the superintendent of the electric line department for the city of Osage City, Kan. 

He was joined in marriage to Colleen Ann Combes, on Feb. 19, 1971, in Lebo, Kan. To this union three children were born, Angela, Amanda and Lance.

He will be forever remembered by his wife, Colleen, a daughter, Amanda Lorene, and a son, Lance Clinton Combes, all of the home; four brothers, Ron (Margaret) Combes, Burlington, Eldon (Ruby) Combes, Carbondale, Kan., Keith (Linda) Combes, Wakarusa, Kan., and Gordon (Doris) Combes, Osage City; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Crouch, Burlington; two grandchildren, Victoria Combes and Megan Nicole Combes, both of the home; and two great grandchildren, Kien Beaman and Joseph Combes.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Angela Dawn Combes on Feb. 17, 2007, and a sister, Margie Crouch.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, July 9, at the Osage City Community Building, 307 S. First St., Osage City. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City.
