ADMIRE, Kan. – Birgitta M. Meisner, 75, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at her home in Admire, Kan. Birgitta Maria Zaring was born Aug. 18,1943, in Orebro, Sweden, the daughter of Sven and Margit Zaring.

She graduated high school and received a degree in accounting in Sweden. She came to the United States in 1965 to be a nanny.

She later married George L. Meisner on Aug. 30, 1966, in New London, Conn. She and her husband, George, owned and operated Meisner Nursing Home, in Osage City, Kan.; it was later named Osage Manor. They retired in 1988.

Birgitta will be forever remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Margit and Robert Berry, of Admire; two granddaughters, Hanna and Eva Berry; and her dog, Mister.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George, on March 26,1992.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Inurment will be in Osage City Cemetery.
