Sunflower Parade: Kansas National Guard Band marches into Osage County for patriotic week

In case anyone missed the Kansas National Guard 35th Division Band in the Melvern Sunflower Days Parade, they will have two more chances to see the band in Osage County this week.

Presenting its free “A Home Front Concert” series, the band will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Osage City High School, 420 S. Fifth St., Osage City, and then at 7:30 p.m. on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, at Brookside Manor’s Fourth of July celebrations and fireworks, 700 W. Seventh St., Overbrook.

The band’s concerts include military marches, vocal music, patriotic tunes and big band selections along with popular rock.
