Mary Ann Coffee, 75, Vassar: Aug. 26, 1943 – Oct. 18, 2018

VASSAR, Kan. – Mary Ann Coffee, 75, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at Midland Hospice Care, Topeka, Kan. She was born on Aug. 26, 1943, in Edwardsville, Ill., the daughter of John and Ruth Dolejs Rojak.

Mary Ann had lived in Collinsville, Ill., before moving to Vassar in 2002. She had been a legal secretary for many years and retired from Husch & Eppenberger Law Firm in St. Louis, Mo. Mary Ann was active in the Illinois VFW Auxiliary and was State President in 2001-2002.

On Aug. 24, 1973, Mary Ann was married to William “Pat” Coffee in Caseyville, Ill. Bill preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2009. Mary Ann was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Rojak.

Mary Ann is survived by her two god-daughters, Jody Yarber and Laura Barr; sister-in-law, Carol Cummins; nephew, Kent Kilgore; niece, Roxanne Kilgore; stepson, Bill Coffee; and stepdaughter, Johanna McDowell.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Vassar United Methodist Church, 23211 S. Croco Rd., Vassar. Inurnment will be in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vassar United Methodist Church. Feltner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
