With announcement of the upcoming closure of the VA’s Community Based Outpatient Clinic at Emporia, Kan., U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran is hosting a town hall meeting for area veterans and citizens. The town hall will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019, at American Legion Post 5, 2921 W. 12th Ave., Emporia. VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System director Rudy Klopfer will join Moran for the meeting to answer questions from veterans and discuss access to healthcare in the VA and in the community. Following the townhall meeting, Moran will be available to listen to constituents’ concerns until 10 a.m.
