CARBONDALE, Kan. – Elaine Ratcliff, 67, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019, at her home in Carbondale, Kan. She was born Feb. 2, 1952, at Wheaton, Mo., the daughter of Jess and Clydene Kaster Lemons.

Elaine received her bachelor’s degree from the Alaska Computer Institute. She was the senior operator in the call center at the Topeka Veterans Administration Hospital. She attended Heritage Country Church, south of Carbondale. Elaine loved gardening, raising vegetables and growing lots of beautiful flowers. She enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets, and making quilted blankets.

She married Ron Regester, on Oct. 26, 1984, in Anchorage, Alaska. He survives at their home in Carbondale.

Along with Ron, survivors include her children, Tammi Zeigler and husband, Jeff, of Pennsylvania, Steve Garman and wife, Amanda, Concordia, Kan., and Tom Ratcliff and wife, Shay, Carbondale; siblings, Steve, Bob, Bill, Ruby and LaVerne; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Heritage Country Church. Interment will follow at the Carbondale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Heritage Country Church.
