Monthly wellness services available at senior center

Submitted by Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

Several months ago the Osage County Health Department started conducting monthly wellness and foot care clinics at the senior center. Participation was good the first few months.  But, the numbers have dwindled significantly the last two months, to the point that we are very likely to lose this service benefit. These clinics are held on the second Wednesday of each month.  Appointments must be made by calling the Osage County Senior Center at 785-528-4906.

The rider sign-up sheets for both the El Dorado and Longhouse Buffet trips July 25 and 31, respectively, are nearly full. If you have any interest in these trips, call the center soon for details.

The public transit buses will be running between the Osage City schools and the fairgrounds Friday night, July 12, after the talent show and the fireworks display to help alleviate parking congestion. This service is being offered through cooperation of the Osage County Fair Board, the Osage City Chamber of Commerce and the senior center.
