Summer is here and you should be there – Osage City Aquatic Center, that is. It’s time to cool off the easy way – at the pool. Swim booklets are still available. Osage City Parks and Recreation is gearing up for summer musical camp and youth football. Here are the details of upcoming activities.

OCAC Pool Hours
- May 25-August 4, Monday-Friday, 1-7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 1-6 p.m.
- August 5 – Labor Day, Saturday and Sunday, 1-6 p.m. (includes Labor Day).
Daily Admission, $3 (age 4 and above); age 3 and below free; age 65 and over free.
OCAC Swim Pass Booklets
- Swim booklets can be purchased at OCAC – 50 swim card booklet, $50.
Deck and pool rental reservations can be made with Corey Linton.
Willy Wonk Jr. Musical camp
- Musical camp – July 22-26
- Pre-K-2nd Grade -10-11 a.m., OCHS auditorium
- $20 per student
- 3rd-6th Grade -11 a.m.-2 p.m., OCHS auditorium
- $30 per student
- Students need to bring a sack lunch each day; snack provided.
- Signup deadline, July 11
- Camp Performance – July 26, 7 p.m., OCHS Auditorium

Youth Football Camp
- Kindergarten-6th grade.
- Grade is based on the 2019-2020 School Year.
- 6:30-8 p.m. July 22-25
- $10 per player
Signup deadline, July 19
OCPR 3rd/4th Grade Tackle Football
Players must be USD 420 3rd/4th grade students based on the 2019-2020 school year. The team will participate in the Sunrise Optimist Club Youth Football League in North Topeka.
- League games are played in North Topeka, Topeka Seaman School District.
- OCPR will attempt to schedule 1-2 league games in Osage City.
- The team plays 7 league games plus end of season tournament (single elimination).
- League season – August 31 – October 19.
- Practice starts the week of August 5 – practices dates will be determined by the head coach.
- OCPR provides helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, pants (integrated, all 7 pads sewn in), team jersey and mouthpiece (players can choose to use their own mouthpiece).
- Each player needs to provide their own football shoes, any additional padding or accessories.
- Player fee – $125 per player – checks payable to OCPR – $67.50 is due by June 28; $67.50 is due by August 5.
Signup forms and payment can be delivered to Osage City Hall or to the OCPR Office (Corey).
OCPR 5th/6th Grade Tackle Football
Players must be USD 420 5th/6th grade students based on the 2019-2020 school year. The team participates in the Emporia Recreation Commission’s 5th/6th grade Football League.
- Team practice starts the week of August 5
- Weekly practice dates will be determined by the head coach.
- ERC League games and location – 8 league games played at the football fields north of Emporia High School.
- ERC season – August 24-October 19.
- OCPR will attempt to schedule 1-2 league or non-league games in Osage City.
- OCPR provides all team football equipment – helmet, shoulder pads, pants (integrated, all 7 pads sewn in), mouthpiece (if needed) and team jersey.
- Players provide their own football cleats and accessories.
- 5th/6th grade players must provide a medical form completed by a physician (no exceptions); deadline August 16.
- Player fee – $80 – $40 is due June 28; $40 is due August 5.
