Loyal F. Seifert, 83, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, at Midland Hospice Care, Topeka, Kan. He was born April 1, 1936, in Aline, Okla., the son of John F. and Maggie (Prisk) Seifert.
He graduated from Labette County High School, Altamont, Kan.
Loyal was joined in marriage to Margaret A. Terril, Aug. 1, 1954, on a family farm near Altamont. To this union two daughters were born, Linda and Brenda.
Loyal was superintendent of a rock quarry for many years, and did various other jobs through his life. He loved being outdoors and planting a garden every spring. He spent many hours working in his shop on his many projects.
He will be forever remembered by his wife, Margaret, of Osage City, Kan.; two daughters, Linda (Mike) Marshall, Lawrence, Kan., and Brenda (Joe) Coursen, Halstead, Kan.; a brother, Fred Seifert, of Virginia; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, and a brother, Paul.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Burial will follow service at Osage City Cemetery.
