Company’s coming, and the Osage County Senior Center is getting ready for the Osage County Resource and Health Fair, coming up on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019. The event, open to all ages, will showcase local services, programs, and products that can help lead to a healthy life.
The fair opens at 8 a.m. at the senior center, which will be hosting a fundraiser chicken noodle dinner starting at 11 a.m. Proceeds will go to the senior center.
The center is still taking donations for a thrift sale on Sept. 21 and 22; bring donations to the center. If after 4 p.m., call 785-528-1170 or 785-219-2440 to make arrangements. If you can’t get the items to the center, pick up can possibly be arranged.
Come on into the senior center for regular activities:
- Mondays: Sewing, exercise, cribbage and evening pitch.
- Tuesdays: Ceramics, 9 a.m.; and Mexican Train games and snacks 12:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays: Sewing and exercise, Threads Around the Table; maybe a movie.
- Thursdays: Art and painting and then pool at 1 p.m. More pool players needed.
- Fridays: Bingo with gift bag of $5; cribbage at 12:15 p.m. More cribbage players needed.
