LYNDON, Kan. – Linda Short, 68, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kan. She was born on June 24, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Everett and Beverly (Martin) Blackwell.

Linda had lived in Lyndon, Kan., several years. Linda was a homemaker most of her life and had worked at Jostens, in Topeka, Kan., as a printing press operator.

On June 23, 1978, Linda was married to Bradley Short.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Brad, on Aug. 12, 2019; her daughter, Tracy Newton; sister, Donna Croston; and parents, Everett and Beverly.

Linda is survived by her three sons, Eddie (Jenny) Hays, Chris Steele and Paul Short; daughter, Jessica (Scott) Cowdin; two brothers, Tom (Connie) Blackwell and Kenny Blackwell; and 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon.
