Wanda Louise Fendley, 84, Osage City: June 13, 1935 – Nov. 1, 2019

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Wanda Louise Fendley, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Atria Hearthstone, Topeka, Kan. She was born on June 13, 1935, in Dennard, Ark., the daughter of Ralph and Glonah (Nunley) Miller.

Wanda had lived in Osage City, Kan., for almost 30 years.

Wanda graduated from high school at Rocky Hill, in Arkansas, and attended Clark Business School. She worked in industry relations for Southwestern Bell Telephone until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Emporia, Kan.

On June 19, 1952, Wanda was married to Jim Fendley, in Arkansas. They later divorced.

Wanda is survived by her five children, Barbara Fendley-Saputo of Venice, Fla., Johnell Fendley and husband, Mike, Norfork, Ark., Pennie Coleman, Topeka, Jim Fendley and wife, Micala, Osage City, and Susie Roeder and husband, Dwayne, Topeka; brother, Larry Miller, Springfield, Mo.; sister, Sue Katona, South Bend, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Bethel Baptist Church, 1300 W. 12th Ave., Emporia. Burial will be in Rapp Cemetery, west of Osage City. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon, Kan.
