LYNDON, Kan. – Sarah Sue Reece, 60, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kan. She was born on Oct. 15, 1959, in Topeka, the daughter of Donald and Nancy Streeter Reece.
Sarah had lived in the Lyndon and Melvern, Kan., communities for more than 40 years. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1977. She worked at the Lyndon Carnegie Library, at BETO Junction, and as a secretary for Econo-Clad, in Topeka, for more than 20 years.
Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy, on March 15, 1998; her brother, Don Reece Jr. on April 9, 2004; and a great-nephew, Rhett James Reece.
Sarah is survived by her father, Donald (Jane) Reece Sr., of Meriden, Kan.; two brothers, Duane “Buck” (Lety) Reece, Burlington, Kan., and Ron (Tami) Reece, Lyndon; sister, Shelly (Lyle) Janssen, Melvern; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. The family will receive friends 2 p.m. until service time at the chapel. Inurnment will be in the Melvern Cemetery.
