Osage City Parks and Recreation will have student artists decking the halls at an upcoming Christmas arts and crafts workshop. And gearing up for the New Year, sign up is underway for young roundball players. Check out the details:
Christmas Arts and Crafts Workshop
Instructor, Becky Weaver (USD 348, Baldwin High School Art Instructor)
- Pre-K-2nd grade (Dec. 14, 9:30-10:30 a.m.)
- 3rd-8th grade (Dec. 14, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.)
- Location, Osage City Community Building, 517 S. 1st St., Osage City
- Cost, $20 per student
- Projects may include ornament, wrapping paper, holiday décor, holiday cards and more!
Sign up deadline, Dec. 9
All projects will be available to take home when the child leaves the workshop. Reminder, art can be messy-dress appropriately.
Sign up forms are sent through Osage City Elementary School, available at Osage City Hall, online at www.osagecity.com, and can be viewed or printed at the Osage City Facebook Page.

Youth Basketball (1st & 2nd grade, Coed)
- Dates, Mondays, Jan. 20-Feb. 17
- No practice Jan. 27.
- Makeup for Jan. 27 will be Jan. 26 (6-7 p.m.)
- Time, 6-7 p.m.
- Location – Osage City Elementary Middle School Gyms
- Boys Practice (ES Gym)
- Girls Practice (MS Gym)
- Players receive a shirt and participation award
- Cost is $20 per player
- Sign up deadline, Jan. 13

- Dates, Sundays, Jan. 12-Feb. 16
- Skip Feb. 2 (Super Bowl)
- Time, 5-6 p.m.
- Location – Osage City Middle School, High School Gyms
- Players receive a shirt and participation award.
- Cost is $20 per player
