Zane L. Wilson, 73, Lampe, Mo.: March 14, 1946 – Dec. 27, 2019

LAMPE, Mo. – Zane L. Wilson, Lampe, Mo., son of Jesse and Denzil (Tannehill) Wilson, was born March 14, 1946, in El Dorado, Kan., and departed this life on Dec. 27, 2019, at the age of 73.

Zane had been a resident of the Lampe area for three years, moving from Coolidge, Ariz., where he met his very best friend and partner, Juanita Gray. He was a Christian and member of Osage Methodist Church, but attended Lampe Baptist Church. Zane retired after 41 years with Hallmark Cards, Kansas City, Mo., as a machinist.

Zane was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his parents; daughter, Shauna Lee Wilson; brother, Jerry Lee Wilson; and three sisters.

Survivors include Juanita Gray, his significant other; six sons, Wayne Raisor and wife, Jodi, of Suffolk, Va., Ray Burns and wife, Kenna, Burlingame, Kan., Randy Gray and wife, Carrie, Platte City, Mo., Garry Sloss, Kimberling City, Mo., Blake Gray and wife, Cathy, Sgt. Bluff, Iowa, and Joe Sloss, Taneyville, Mo.; a sister, Darlene Sanders, Ozark, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City, Kan. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Burial will follow the service at the Osage City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523. Condolences can be left at vanarsdalefs.com.
