Max Edward Heberling, 85, Topeka: Oct. 5, 1934 – Jan. 8, 2020

TOPEKA, Kan. – Max E. Heberling, 85, of Topeka, Kan., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. He was born Oct. 5, 1934, in Topeka, the son of Eli and Lenora Heberling.

Max graduated from Carbondale High School, Carbondale, Kan. He served in the U.S Navy.

He married Mary Bodine, on July 26, 1954.

Max owned and operated Max’s Antenna Service for many years. He then handcrafted silver jewelry and traveled throughout the Midwest attending shows selling his jewelry.

Max was preceded in death by a son, Mike Heberling.

Max is survived by his wife of more than 65 years, Mary Heberling; a son, Bruce (Lisa) Heberling, Emporia, Kan.; two daughters, Judy Heberling, Topeka, and Susan Warden, Iola, Kan.; and four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the family home in Topeka. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka. See davidsonfuneral.com.
