LYNDON, Kan. – Robert Niles Stout, 41, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital, Kansas City, Kan. He was born Dec. 28, 1978, in Topeka, Kan., the son of John and Elsie Hursh Stout.
Bob had lived in the Lyndon, Kan., community all of his life. He graduated from Lyndon High School in 1997.
Bob attended Emporia State University and Pittsburg State University. He worked as a police officer in Pittsburg, Kan., Lyndon, and Washburn University, Topeka, was a jailer at the Osage County Jail, Lyndon, and had worked in security at Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant, Burlington, for the last 11 years. He had been a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church.
Bob married Nicole Anderson in 2001; they later divorced.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie, on Oct. 8, 2013.
Bob is survived by his father, John Stout and wife, Libby, of Carbondale; daughter, Abigail Stout, Lyndon; sister, Kathryn (Stout) Shepard and husband, Joshua, and children, all of Lyndon; and brother, Gregory Stout, Topeka.
Private family services will be held at a later date at Lyndon Cemetery.
